How did you get into Fallout?
I kept seeing memes, and my wife was interested, so when a re-release of 3 was announced for the 360, we grabbed it.
What’s your favorite Fallout game?
I’ve still only played 3 and 4, and I’m on the fence? I think I liked the core game of 3 better, but the sheer flexibility of 4 made it a lot more replayable, and building-games are always fun.
How did you get into voice acting?
I’d learned when I was pretty young that I could imitate voices, but I was painfully shy until I started larping. I did tentative voices there, and while GMing table-top, but nothing serious. Until a couple years ago I found myself needing voice therapy, and once I’d finished all that hard work, I decided it was time to make the most of it – when the pandemic closed down most larps and I heard someone was starting phone-based larps and was looking for actors, I jumped at the chance.
Who inspires you/who do you admire in VAing?:
Arleen Sorkin is my absolute favorite (I, alas, cannot do a credible Harley). But in general I just have tons of respect for people who do dub-work for animation, the sheer range of characters and genres on top of having to do ADR and timing-match just boggles the mind. People draw lines in the sand about sub vs dub, but the English dub of Steins;Gate is always a favorite.
Favorite voices/characters you’ve done?
Irene, the eponymous girl in Girl on the Phone for Mirror World Creations – the range and physicality I had to do for a girl escaping kidnappers with nothing but a Nokia 3310 was (and is) a blast. I also love going off on rants as Stitch, but one so rarely finds the opportunity to be paid for that. ^_^ Haven’t done a full Valeria episode yet, but I’m sure she’ll be up there soon!
